My research improves operational decision-making by helping humans and AI distinguish relevant from irrelevant information. I identify and address challenges across two streams: (1) humans evaluate algorithms with attributes that are mentally convenient rather than diagnostic, and (2) autonomous agents struggle to determine when changes in circumstances warrant shifts in decision-making. My work has been published in Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and PNAS Nexus, and featured on Fortune.com and Time.com.

I earned my PhD from Harvard Business School in May 2026 under the advisement of Kris Johnson Ferreira, and now research autonomous AI as a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft. My CV is available here. This fall, I will present at WAICI and CIST.
